A Canna River CBD gummy is made from tapioca syrup, sugar and pectin, plus hemp distillate, natural flavors, citric acid, sodium malate, natural color from fruit and vegetable juices, and stevia. All eight CBD gummies share that base recipe. What changes from one gummy to the next is the cannabinoid isolate added to the hemp distillate: CBD, CBN, CBG, or CBN and CBG together. None of the ingredient lists includes gelatin.

Which ingredient is in which gummy
Each Ultra gummy uses the same list as the standard gummy with the same cannabinoids. Full Spectrum (Contains THC) versions list "Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate" instead of "Broad Spectrum Hemp Distillate"; nothing else changes. FDA labeling rules (21 CFR 101.4) list food ingredients in descending order by weight.

What each ingredient is
- Tapioca syrup (sweetener and base). FDA's glucose syrup standard (21 CFR 168.120) covers syrups "obtained from edible starch" and allows the name "tapioca syrup" when the starch is tapioca, which Britannica describes as cassava root starch.
- Sugar (sweetener). FDA (21 CFR 184.1854) identifies sugar as sucrose, obtained by crystallization from sugar cane or sugar beet juice.
- Pectin (gelling agent). FDA (21 CFR 184.1588) describes pectins as plant polysaccharides produced commercially from citrus peel, apple pomace or beet pulp. PubChem classes pectin as a gelling agent: it's what sets the gummy.
- Citric acid (acidulant). FDA (21 CFR 184.1033) notes it occurs naturally in plant and animal tissues and may be recovered from lemon or pineapple juice or made by fermentation. PubChem notes its acid taste and classes it as a food acidity regulator.
- Sodium malate (buffering salt). PubChem identifies it as the sodium salt of malic acid, classed by the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives as an acidity regulator. FDA (21 CFR 184.1069) notes that L-malic acid occurs naturally in various foods.
- Natural flavors (flavor). FDA (21 CFR 101.22) defines natural flavor as flavoring derived from sources such as fruit or vegetable juice, whose function is "flavoring rather than nutritional." Some listings add that the flavors derive from fruit and vegetable juices.
- Natural color (color). FDA lists fruit juice and vegetable juice as color additives (21 CFR 73.250 and 73.260), pressed from fresh, edible produce or made by water infusion of dried produce. Product pages note that color may vary.
- Stevia (sweetener). FDA describes steviol glycosides as natural constituents of Stevia rebaudiana leaves, reported to be 200 to 400 times sweeter than table sugar.
Hemp distillate and isolates, as label terms
These are the cannabinoid source. A distillate is the product of distillation, which Britannica defines as converting a liquid into vapor and condensing it back into liquid. Canna River's FAQ says Broad Spectrum is formulated to contain undetectable THC and "is not the same as isolate — it still carries a range of cannabinoids." An isolate is a single cannabinoid on its own, so the isolate is what sets each formula apart. Product pages state the hemp is non-GMO and grown in the United States.
What the lists don't include
- Gelatin. Britannica describes gelatin as an animal protein derived from collagen, and notes that fruit jellies set with pectin instead.
- Corn syrup. The syrup listed is tapioca syrup.
- Artificial flavors or colors. Only natural flavors and natural color are listed.
Frequently asked questions
Do the Ultra gummies have different ingredients?
No. Each matches the standard version with the same cannabinoids, with twice the cannabinoids per gummy, in Broad Spectrum only.
What sweeteners are in Canna River gummies?
Three: tapioca syrup, sugar and stevia.
How do the Broad and Full Spectrum ingredient lists differ?
Only in the hemp distillate: Broad Spectrum Hemp Distillate or Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate. The other ingredients match.
Where can I find the lab report for my gummy?
Product pages state each gummy is third-party tested by batch, and reports are listed by flavor and batch number on the product page and in the COA library. On October 18, 2026, the four Ultra gummy pages showed "COA Pending." More in Is Canna River CBD Lab Tested?
