Canna River CBD Classic Tincture contains 100 mg of CBD in every milliliter and comes in four sizes, from 1,500 mg in 15 mL for $20 to 12,000 mg in 120 mL for $80. It's sold in Broad Spectrum (Non-THC) and Full Spectrum (Contains THC), in four flavors, at the same price for every type and flavor. Per milligram of CBD, it costs between 0.67 and 1.33 cents at list price, and the larger bottles cost less per milligram.
Sizes, strength and price per mL
Strength scales with the bottle, so every size has the same 100 mg of CBD per mL. List prices on cannariver.com, before subscription savings or discounts:
| Size | Total CBD | CBD per mL | Price | Price per mL | Cents per mg of CBD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 mL | 1,500 mg | 100 mg | $20 | $1.33 | 1.33¢ |
| 30 mL | 3,000 mg | 100 mg | $40 | $1.33 | 1.33¢ |
| 60 mL | 6,000 mg | 100 mg | $60 | $1.00 | 1.00¢ |
| 120 mL | 12,000 mg | 100 mg | $80 | $0.67 | 0.67¢ |
To work out the cost per milligram yourself, divide the price by the total CBD on the label. For the 30 mL bottle, $40 divided by 3,000 mg is $0.0133, or 1.33 cents per mg.
Broad Spectrum vs Full Spectrum
Both versions carry 100 mg of CBD per mL and cost the same. The difference is THC. The product page lists the dosing for each version as:
- Broad Spectrum (Non-THC): 100mg CBD per 1mL
- Full Spectrum (Contains THC): 100mg CBD + 2mg D9 THC per 1mL
Canna River's FAQ explains that both types contain a range of cannabinoids and natural terpenes from the hemp plant, and that Broad Spectrum is formulated to contain undetectable levels of THC. Both versions are made with non-GMO hemp grown in the United States.
Flavors and full ingredient lists
There are four formulas: Natural, Lemon Raspberry, Mango Peach and Sweet Mint. The carrier oil in every version is MCT oil. In the ingredient lists below, "Hemp Distillate" is Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum depending on the version you choose.
| Flavor | Ingredients |
|---|---|
| Natural | MCT Oil, Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate |
| Lemon Raspberry | MCT Oil, Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate, Natural & Artificial Food-Grade Flavor, Sucralose |
| Mango Peach | MCT Oil, Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate, Natural Food-Grade Flavor, Sucralose |
| Sweet Mint | MCT Oil, Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum Hemp Distillate, Natural Food-Grade Flavor, Sucralose |
Natural is the unflavored option. It has two ingredients and, in the product page's words, "no flavoring or sweetener of any kind." Lemon Raspberry is the only flavor that lists artificial flavor. The three flavored versions are sweetened with sucralose.
How a serving is labeled
Servings are labeled per milliliter, and Canna River's FAQ notes that a full dropper is 1 mL. One full dropper of Classic Tincture therefore holds 100 mg of CBD, plus 2 mg of delta-9 THC in the Full Spectrum version. The product page directs placing your serving under the tongue and holding it for 20 to 30 seconds before swallowing, and says taking it with food is recommended but not required.
Shipping and lab reports
- Free shipping within the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Orders ship from Carrollton, Texas. The shipping policy also excludes US territories and military (Armed Forces) addresses from free shipping.
- A published lab report for every batch. Every batch is tested by an independent third-party laboratory, and each certificate of analysis (COA) names the lab, the batch and the date. To find yours, match the batch ID printed on your bottle in the Product Documentation panel on the CBD Classic Tincture page, or browse the Canna River COA library. Reports for earlier batches stay published.
