The weather is starting to get chilly. That means surrounding ourselves with anything and everything warm, whether that’s hot cocoa, cozy sweaters, or chestnuts roasting on an open fire. For some of us, staying warm is less about physical warmth and more about visualization. Instead of sleeting precipitation, icy roads, and trees rapidly losing their foliage, picture palm trees, balmy sunshine, and white, sandy beaches. Can’t see it? After a sip of this scrumptious mango CBD smoothie, you will.
Ingredients
1 mango
1 banana
1 cup ice
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup pineapple juice
½ cup Greek yogurt
Grated ginger to taste
Honey to taste
½ teaspoon Cannariver Tropical Fruit Smoothie Broad-Spectrum Tincture
Coconut cream to taste (optional)
Directions
- Technically, you can put the ingredients into the blender in any order and they’ll eventually get blended. However, if you want a professional-grade smoothie, you’ll want to follow this order: liquids (pineapple and orange juice and CBD), sweeteners (honey), soft ingredients (Greek yogurt and coconut cream), fruit (mango, banana, and ginger), and then ice.
- Blend until well-combined, starting on medium speed and going up to high as the ingredients become better blended.
- Enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
This isn’t just a delicious mango CBD smoothie recipe—it’s an easy one, too. But you can do a few other things to kick your smoothie to the next level.
Use Smaller Ice Cubes
If you want a smoother consistency, set your ice cube maker to make crushed ice. If you don’t have an electric ice maker, invest in a tray that makes smaller ice cubes. Or, if you want a more cost-effective option that doubles as a way to let out pent-up anger, put your ice in a bag and smash it with a hammer before adding the ice to the blender.
Use Frozen Fruit
When it comes to food, our first instinct is usually to go with fresh food instead of frozen. But when it comes to smoothies, frozen fruit is known to give a thicker, creamier consistency. That consistency is perfect for the fresh, tropical, milkshake-like concoction we want here. If you use frozen fruit, you can also skip adding ice to the recipe altogether for a smoother texture.
Experiment with the Consistency
If you find you don’t like the consistency of the final product, you can always adjust it as you go. If the texture is too thick, add a little extra juice. If it’s too runny, add some more coconut cream or Greek yogurt.
