Is Canna River CBD Lab Tested? How to Find the COA for Your Batch

Canna River CBD Calm Gummies bottle, Passion Orange Guava

Yes. Every batch of Canna River CBD is tested by an independent third-party laboratory before it ships. The certificate of analysis (COA) for each batch is published on the product page and in the Canna River COA library. Reports for earlier batches stay published after a batch sells out, so you can always match the batch number on your bottle to its report.

Who tests Canna River products?

Each report names the laboratory that ran it. Recent 2026 batches were tested by PharmLabs San Diego, which is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (accreditation no. 85368). Earlier 2025 batches were tested by SC Laboratories (SC Labs) in Santa Cruz, California, also accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (PJLA no. 87168). ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

What a Canna River COA reports

  • Cannabinoid profile: the measured amount of each cannabinoid in that batch, including CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, delta-9 THC, THCA and delta-8 THC, in milligrams per serving and per package.
  • Heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead.
  • Microbials: Shiga toxin-producing E. coli and Salmonella.
  • Mycotoxins: aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2) and ochratoxin A.

Each contaminant result is printed next to the limit it is measured against, so you can see the result and the threshold side by side.

How to find the COA for your bottle

  1. Find the batch number printed on your package. It looks like 260204BCALMPOG.
  2. Open the product's page on cannariver.com and select the same option you bought: Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum, flavor, and strength.
  3. Open the Product Documentation panel. It lists every published report for that option. Pick the one with your batch number.
  4. Prefer to browse? Every report for every product is in the COA library.

What Forbes Health's independent testing found

For its 2026 CBD rankings, Forbes Health sent product samples to its own lab, Nova Analytic Labs. Both of Canna River's award-winning products were tested:

Product Forbes Health award THC Total cannabinoids per serving Pesticides and heavy metals
CBD Calm Gummies (Broad Spectrum) Best Broad-Spectrum CBD Gummy Not detected 95.5 mg per gummy Not detected within safety limits
CBD Classic Tincture (Broad Spectrum) Best Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil Not detected 117 mg per 1 mL No detectable levels, according to testing

In Forbes Health's words, the Classic Tincture result showed "THC was not detected in the sample, aligning with company claims." You can read both reviews on Forbes Health's Best CBD Gummies and Best CBD Oils lists, and everything else that's been written about us on our Press & Awards page.

Broad Spectrum vs Full Spectrum on a COA

Most Canna River products come in two versions, and the COA shows the difference:

  • Broad Spectrum (Non-THC) is the non-THC version. Its COA reports the delta-9 THC and total THC results for that batch.
  • Full Spectrum (Contains THC) contains a measured amount of delta-9 THC, which is printed on the label. The Full Spectrum Classic Tincture, for example, is labeled 100 mg CBD + 2 mg delta-9 THC per 1 mL.
