The honest headline is that these two brands are optimizing for different things. Cornbread Hemp holds USDA organic certification and Canna River does not. On the gummies and oils below, Canna River sells three to five times as much CBD per dollar, and up to ten times against its largest bottle. At October 2026 list prices its gummies and tinctures run 0.67 to 1.33 cents per milligram of CBD, and Cornbread Hemp's 4.0 to 6.7 cents. Both publish lab reports down to the lot. Here is every figure, read off each brand's own label.
Gummies
Both brands make this comparison easy: both define a serving as one gummy, and both put 30 in the jar. Cornbread's panel uses "up to" for its cannabinoid amounts, so its totals are stated that way below.
| Cornbread Hemp Full Spectrum, 2250 mg | Cornbread Hemp CBD Isolate, 1500 mg | Canna River CBD Classic Gummies | |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBD per gummy | Up to 75 mg | 50 mg | 100 mg |
| Count | 30 | 30 | 30 |
| CBD per jar | 2,250 mg | 1,500 mg | 3,000 mg |
| THC per jar | 90 mg | None | Full Spectrum: 97.48 mg measured. Broad Spectrum: below the lab's limit of quantitation |
| List price | $89.99 | $59.99 | $35.00 |
| Cents per mg of CBD | 4.0¢ | 4.0¢ | 1.17¢ |
Cornbread's smaller jars cost more per milligram, not less: its 1500 mg jar is 5.0 cents and its 750 mg jar 6.7 cents. Canna River sells one strength, 100 mg a gummy, in five flavors and both spectrums, all at $35.
The ratio neither brand prints
Cornbread Hemp states a 25:1 CBD to THC ratio on its full spectrum pages, and its own figures bear that out: up to 75 mg of CBD and up to 3 mg of THC in one gummy. Canna River does not advertise a ratio, so we worked it out from a batch report. In PharmLabs batch 260427FCLASSFA, a Full Spectrum Classic Gummy measured 105.46 mg of CBD and 3.25 mg of delta-9 THC, a measured 32:1.
The practical reading: a Cornbread full spectrum gummy and a Canna River Full Spectrum gummy land in the same place on THC, roughly 3 mg a piece, while the Canna River gummy carries about a third more CBD alongside it. If you want the CBD without the THC, Cornbread's route is its CBD Isolate line and Canna River's is Broad Spectrum, which is offered on every product rather than a separate range.
Oils and tinctures
| Product | Size | CBD per mL | Bottle total | Price | Cents per mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cornbread Hemp Distilled Organic CBD Oil | 30 mL | 25 mg | 750 mg | $49.99 | 6.7¢ |
| Cornbread Hemp Whole Flower Organic CBD Oil | 30 mL | 50 mg | 1,500 mg | $74.99 | 5.0¢ |
| Cornbread Hemp CBD Isolate Oil | 30 mL | 50 mg | 1,500 mg | $59.99 | 4.0¢ |
| Canna River CBD Classic Tincture | 30 mL | 100 mg | 3,000 mg | $40.00 | 1.33¢ |
| Canna River CBD Classic Tincture | 120 mL | 100 mg | 12,000 mg | $80.00 | 0.67¢ |
Both brands sell a two-ingredient unflavored oil: Cornbread's is organic medium chain coconut oil and organic hemp flower extract, and Canna River's Natural tincture is MCT oil and hemp distillate. Cornbread sells no flavored oil at all, which counts in its favor if you want nothing else in the bottle. Canna River's three flavored tinctures add a food-grade flavor and sucralose; its Natural does not.
Topicals
Cornbread Hemp's CBD Balm holds 750 mg of CBD for $54.99, or 7.3 cents per milligram, in a twist-up stick with organic arnica, eucalyptus and peppermint oils. Canna River's CBD Body Balm holds 5,000 mg of cannabinoids in a 2 oz jar for $50, or 1.0 cent per milligram, but spread across four: 1,250 mg each of CBD, CBC, CBN and CBG. On CBD alone the Canna River balm is 4.0 cents per milligram, so the gap narrows considerably here. Which matters more, total cannabinoid load or CBD specifically, is a genuine judgment call rather than a maths problem.
Where Cornbread Hemp has the edge
- USDA organic certification. This is a federal certification with an audit behind it, not a marketing adjective, and Canna River does not hold it. If certified organic sourcing is your first filter, the comparison ends here.
- Flower-only extract. Cornbread states that its extract comes from hemp flower rather than stalks and stems.
- Small, precise servings. A 25 mg gummy suits anyone who wants a modest fixed amount. Canna River's smallest gummy is 100 mg.
- Organic ingredient lists with no sucralose. Its gummies list organic blue agave, organic tapioca syrup, organic cane sugar, apple pectin and organic flavoring.
- A printed CBD-to-THC ratio. Stating 25:1 up front is more informative than most labels in this category.
Where Canna River has the edge
- Milligrams per dollar. Three to five times the CBD per dollar on like-for-like sizes, and the gap widens with volume: the 120 mL tincture is 0.67 cents per milligram, a tenth of Cornbread's 30 mL Distilled oil.
- A genuine non-THC option on every product. Broad Spectrum is a choice on the same product page, not a separate isolate range.
- The size ladder. Tinctures run 15, 30, 60 and 120 mL; Cornbread's oils are 30 mL.
- A larger published report library. 677 batch report PDFs on October 25, 2026, against 185 lot codes on Cornbread's lab page. Both are lot-level, which is the standard that matters; see how to find the report for your batch.
- Independent recognition. Forbes Health named Canna River CBD Calm Gummies Best Broad-Spectrum CBD Gummy and the CBD Classic Tincture Best Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil of 2026. See Canna River in the press.
Frequently asked questions
Is Cornbread Hemp or Canna River cheaper?
Canna River, per milligram, on every pair compared here. At October 2026 list prices Canna River's gummies and tinctures run 0.67 to 1.33 cents per milligram of CBD and Cornbread Hemp's 4.0 to 6.7 cents. The topicals are closer: 4.0 cents against 7.3.
